Christians & Astrology

Christians reject occult practices due to deep theological and moral reasons. These practices are abominations and spiritual rebellion. They are seeking knowledge/power through supernatural means, which is apart from God. These things replace trust in God, violate God's order (we are not meant to control the unseen world, these practices are rooted in pride and disobedience). The Early/Current church actively rejects the occult. If you are a Christian, you are not supposed to actively practice these things. Since this is a Biblical belief, a Christian who strongly rejects these practices are not necessarily overreacting for no reason.

A woman got her baby a book where she can fill out information about her new family, and there was a page called, "I was born under this star/zodiac!" Non-Christians replied saying things along the lines of, "Well, God made the stars..." Yeah but God also said not to do divination or sorcery. I thought at first the Non-Christians were Christian, but apparently they weren't. And I said, "As a Christian this is deemed bad, she is not overreacting because it is evil." Why are they so obsessed with dragging us out of our beliefs? Why do they always claim they know the religion and make a bunch of assumptions based on word of mouth? And can't even comprehend basic ideas of our faith?
